Stunning Lake Wanaka

Nearby Wanaka is an equally delightful town set on the edge of Lake Wanaka. Smaller than its nearby cousin Wanaka is home to a range of accommodation levels, from local backpackers to the stunning Oakridge Resort with its tussock-lined gardens, spectactular mountain backdrop, and nine hot pools to soak in at the end of a day on the slopes. Just one hour’s drive from Queenstown, Wanaka is worth exploring as day trip or for a night or two with a visit to nearby Arrowtown.
